General assemblyIn Arabic: الجمعية العامة
Partners' resolution templateDefinition
General assembly is الجمعية العامة in Arabic. Searchers also use الجمعية العمومية: the meeting of partners or shareholders that deals with the company’s affairs as its law provides.
How it varies across the GCC
A Saudi limited liability company has a general assembly of all the partners, at least once a year within six months of the financial year-end, on twenty-one days’ notice, with minutes kept in a register (Companies Law, article 165). Joint-stock assemblies are articles 84 to 97, verified by heading, and partnerships are article 54. The other states are under review.
The rules that apply to a specific matter depend on the state, any free zone involved and the current text of the law, so check the official source before relying on them.
