Specific performanceIn Arabic: التنفيذ العيني
Definition
Specific performance compels the debtor, after notice, to perform the obligation itself where that is still possible, rather than stopping at damages.
How it varies across the GCC
In Saudi Arabia the court may limit the creditor to damages if specific performance would be oppressive for the debtor and would not cause the creditor serious harm (Civil Transactions Law, article 164).
The rules that apply to a specific matter depend on the state, any free zone involved and the current text of the law, so check the official source before relying on them.
